News Stories Reflect Growing Human Lunacy
Columnist Thom Hartmann recently posted a column in which he argued that America’s failed education system and a subsequent dumbing down of the people has been responsible for the destructive mess that has been going on throughout our country in recent years. He wrote: "Many of today’s biggest political issues, like our privacy rights, would not even be up for debate today had it not been for the attack on education. If more Americans had a strong understanding of our history, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney would never been able to pull off the Patriot Act, we would never have put a radical character like Donald Trump in the president's office. Most of all we wouldn't be sitting idle while the current administration proceeds to dismantle the great government we had in place."

A House Divided . . .
Abraham Lincoln quoted Jesus when he gave his famous "house divided" speech before the Republican State Convention in Springfield, Illinois, on June 16, 1858. He went on to win the Presidency against Democrat Stephen A. Douglas. Lincoln’s speech was controversial when he said it. Yet it was clearly prophetic because of the looming Civil War that was to literally tear the nation apart during his term in office. That war was fought over the issue of state’s rights and slavery. Today, a century and a half later, America is once again a house divided, and the rift may be even more severe than it was in 1858.

The Trump Assault on the First Amendment
Since taking office four years ago President t-Rump has been making a constant assault on the nation’s freedom of speech and freedom of the press as guaranteed in the First Amendment. He accuses news reporters and many of the nation’s finest news outlets of publishing false information about him. Most recently he has filed an executive order removing the protection of Internet social outlets for allowing what he claims to be published lies and misleading information. If he gets away with this latest attack via the high courts that he and his GOP thugs have been stacking there could be a serious removal of our long cherished right of stating our viewpoints via public speeches or written commentary.

Dare We Welcome In The New Decade?
As world events continue to shock and astound us, many people are starting to wonder what we should expect to happen during the year 2020 and beyond. Hardest to accept has been the rapid division between the tiny number of people in control of the world’s wealth, and the rising unrest among the billions of people suffering from rising debt, hunger, disease and homelessness. Everywhere there is warfare of some kind, mostly terrorism or cyber hacking. We in the United States are watching our own nation under the Trump Administration assume the role of a world bully and fear repercussions from our actions against other nations.

The Crime Of Being Poor In America
The GOP "Trumpsters" in Washington approved changes in existing federal programming, including changes in the federal income tax, that now radically threatens poverty stricken families. And if Mr. Trump has his way it may soon be illegal to be homeless . . . especially in California. We are referring to unemployment extensions, food stamps, school hot meals for children of poor families and a variety of other assistance programs that helped keep the homeless and poverty-stricken folks alive during harsh economic times

Trump: “I am the Chosen One”
America’s controversial president Donald Trump has itched his way into nearly declaring himself to be God’s Messiah returned to Earth, and it is alarming a lot of people. Mr. Trump on August 21 tweeted a quote by Newsmax television personality Wayne Allyn Root as saying “President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world . . . Jewish people in Israel love him . . . like he’s the King of Israel.’ In their bid for the sensational news edge, some news reports have rephrased the Root quote to read: “he is beloved by Israeli Jews ‘like a king’ or ‘the second coming of God.’”

The Trump Destruction of America
While the Republican controlled House and Senate has been making a lot of noise battling over the future of health insurance, immigration reform and “fake news,” the little man in the White House has been busy using the power of his office to quickly dismantle everything the American people have long enjoyed and held dear about the United States and its role as a leader of the free world.

About Our Freedom of the Press
The First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution is probably among the most important legal documents our forefathers gave us. It protects our freedoms to worship, speak out in public, peaceably assemble and for journalists, it protects our freedoms to gather information and publish it for public inspection. This Amendment was considered so important it specifically prevents Congress from making any law that overturns this freedom. It was the first Constitutional Amendment adopted by the states and one of the ten amendments that appear in the Bill of Rights. Yet since he has been in office, President Trump has publicly attacked the press and the Moslem religion. He appears to have forgotten his oath of office which demands that the president “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Fixing The Woes Of Our Nation
It seems that we are reading and hearing more and more scare stories about the out-of-control national debt and the probability of the "too-big-to-fail" banks going into bankruptcy and bringing on another world depression. While it may happen, it will be done by design, and by making a majority of people caught up in the matrix of materialism and debt believe the great lie. In truth the debt, while now measured in the trillions, got that way because of actions by our banks, the federal government and the military industrial complex. Before Trump I once thought it would take a benevolent dictator to sit in the White House for a short stay to fix many of the things that have been going wrong in our country. I think a lot of voters thought the same way in 2016 but the dictator-type they chose appears to have never had the best interests of the United States in his heart. But just suppose . . .

An Alternative To Impeachment
There is all this talk about impeaching Mr. Trump because of his alleged high crimes. But Minority Leader of the House Nancy Pelosi has been reluctant to fire that cannon even though the call for impeachment is getting louder and louder among her compatriots. Pelosi has implied numerous reasons for avoiding impeachment but the one obvious and unspoken problem is that the Vice President appears to be as nutty if not nuttier than Trump. Removal of President Trump will, by constitutional law, put Mr. Pence in the Presidency.

A Classic British View of Trump
By Nate White – English Writer
Someone asked "Why do some British people not like Donald Trump? A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honor and no grace - all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief. Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing - not once, ever.

Intense Microwave Radiation Everywhere!
Those popular cordless 5G devices, home entertainment systems and wireless receivers are being fed by radio frequency radiation spewing from cell towers in nearly everybody’s neighborhood. To increase services the telecom companies are installing more and more of them so cell-phone services do not fade for users on the move. The radiation everybody receives from these devices is troublesome enough. But this is nothing compared to the bombardment that looms. The Trump-run Federal Communication Commission has just approved plans by the telecom companies to launch some 20,000 satellites that will soon be sending focused beams of intense microwave radiation everywhere on Earth. These 5G systems will be about 10-times more powerful that the signals now being received from neighborhood cell towers.

Destruction of the National Weather Service
Donald Trump is an enemy of all mankind. It should be a simple deduction on the part of all Americans that global warming (i.e. weather change) is our greatest threat. Not just ours but a threat to the human race. Because of his obvious sell-out to the oil, gas and coal companies Mr. Trump is doing everything in his power to block world-wide efforts to shift to non-carbon fuels. He seems to deny the reality of global warming. And because he sits in the White House, he has a lot of power. Mr. Trump has used the power of his office to not only separate the United States from world efforts to fight a catastrophic apocalyptic event, but he has been doing all that he can to slash the service that helps keep us safe when the weather goes array.

Eat, Drink And Make Merry
For Tomorrow We Will Be In The Street
Perhaps there will be wisdom in the excessive alcoholism, rowdy merry-making and football fanaticism exhibited across America this New Year. It will be the best way to forget that the nation’s economic picture is so grim the year 2019 may be a block of time many of us might wish to skip over rather than face head-on. It also will be a way of forgetting that we have sons and daughters, friends and relatives fighting ugly unending wars in Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya, plus “interventions” in numerous other parts of the world. And it will be a way of blocking out the critical need for repairing our nation’s crumbling roads, bridges and water and sewer systems, building mass transit systems to ease automobile traffic on gridlocked roads, find alternative energy systems to replace oil and coal, fix our failed education system, deal with extreme climate change, and head off increasing acts of terrorism at home and abroad.

The Dangerous Assault on Free-flow of Information
We all know that President Trump’s scuffle with CNN reporter Jim Acosta and the legal battle over Acosta’s right to due process has been making headlines. That Acosta was reinstated as a member of the White House media crew by court order was the proper outcome of this issue. But it appears to only be the tip of a mountain of a growing conflict between the power figures and the public’s right to know what these people are up to . . . not only in the United States but apparently in other parts of of the world.

Understanding Hate In America
The word “hate” is easily understood. It is defined as a feeling of extreme hostility toward another person or group. What is confusing is why we in America are experiencing a rash of hostility by certain established individuals or groups against one another. Is it really a reaction to the vile aggressive speeches and messages flowing from the lips of an unstable personality now seated in the White House?

Ignoring Deadly Climate Change
Of great concern is the knowledge that our elected “leaders” in Washington are going out of their way to ignore the threat of climate change, and refusing to join the European Union, China, India and South American nations in their decisions to do all they can to control the burning of carbon fuels and shift to alternate sources of solar, wind and ocean produced energies. We wonder how they can justify this inaction when Washington D.C. and the East Coast is suffering from intense heat and extreme storms and floods. Well-known social critic and political activist Noam Chomsky recently put it all in perspective in a published interview with investigative journalist Amy Goodman. In the story, published in Truthout, Chomsky said: “Of all Trump’s policies, the one that is the most dangerous and destructive, in fact poses an existential threat, is his policies on climate change, on global warming.

The Trump/Pruitt Destruction of the EPA
The Organic Consumers Organization recently issued a disturbing newsletter pointing out the destructive impact of the Trump Administration’s decision to cut staff, funding and the power of the Environmental Protection Agency on the nation’s foods and consequently on public health. It also has withdrawn the federal Food & Drug Administration’s control for labeling of organic and non-genetically modified foods so that buyers have a healthy choice in what they eat. The letter warns that the nation’s food industry is currently getting away with serving “a fatal harvest” caused by “water and air pollution, soil erosion, fertility loss, the obliteration of pollinator populations and biodiversity in general, food contamination, aquifer depletion and climate destabilization.”

Are We Moving Toward a Police State?
It took action by President Barack Obama’s Administration to put a stop to nationwide police abuse of a search and seizure policy instituted by the Bush Administration after 9-11. Two years ago former Attorney General Eric Holder barred state and local police agencies from using federal law to seize cash and personal property without warrants or filing criminal charges. Now Trump’s boy, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is bringing that policy back.

Blind Prophet: America Is Falling
After posting a link to a contemporary news story about the scary prophecies of Baba Vanga, the blind Bulgarian woman who predicted that China would rise to be a leading world power in 2018, I was asked by a friend to provide more information. Having researched and written her story a few years ago I returned to read what I wrote. What I found was startling.

New Year 2018 – What’s To Celebrate?
Two years ago on this date I wrote: "Someday – if we are lucky – we may look back on this point in time and realize it was an important milestone; either we made a good decision and saved our planet and ourselves from an ugly destructive fate or we chose to blindly take the fabled route of the lemmings and jump into the abyss." Sadly it seems that a majority of voters in the United States chose the latter. Now the question is: Do we all line up behind the lemmings to jump or is there anything that we can do to turn away from this looming disaster?

The Tillerman Proposal For Solving N. Korean Threat
A proposal by Secretary of State Rex Tillerman for attempting to resolve the troublesome nuclear standoff between the United States and North Korea caught the world’s attention this week. Other leaders advocating world peace welcomed the Tillerman idea according to a news report by the Guardian’s Robert Scheer. What did Tillerman suggest? Simply for both sides to put away their swords and sit down and talk like two government leaders should. Why won't Trump listen to his Secretary of State?

New Trump Health Plan; Life Begins at Conception
Even though he left Washington in disgrace, it appears that former Health and Human Services Director Tom Price has left the nation’s women a parting shot that may send the abortion issue screaming back to the Supreme Court. Price was promoting the belief that life begins at the moment of conception. Now a new draft strategic plan to “improve” American health care, issued by the Trump Administration, clearly defines “life as beginning at conception,” a report in Truthdig reveals.

The Trump Assault on the Media
Donald Trump’s new verbal assaults against CNN’s reports of comments he allegedly made concerning increasing the nation’s nuclear stockpile appears to have also triggered his growing anger created by a general onslaught against his policies by the conservative press. He now suggested that news outlets that give “unfavorable coverage” of Trump and his administration should have their broadcasting licenses “challenged.” Instead of learning from the growing number of unfavorable stories appearing in American media, Trump is taking a personal high road, refusing to think that his twisted and often conflicting commentary is in any way a reflection on his inability to stay focused and communicate with the American people.

Tipping the Scales of Justice
Amidst all the destruction Mr. Trump is bringing to the framework of the United States, his judicial appointments may top the list. Despite his tardiness in filling many key government job positions since taking office, he has been extra busy filling federal judicial vacancies. An analysis by Allan Smith for Business Insider reveals that Trump has been concentrating on “shaping the federal bench” since coming to power. He has to date nominated 56 judicial appointments compared to Obama’s 22 nominations by this same time in office. The Judiciary Committee has only confirmed three, however. They include Trump’s appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch to the U. S. Supreme Court.

Strange Nazi-KKK Link With Trump
If you think the rise in Nazism among rebellious youth in the United States is shocking, the odd response to the Charlottesville horrors by Donald Trump must have set you back on your heels. Why would he have said what he did and why would it have taken him two days before being forced by his aides to attempt to fix his public position?

Becoming a Police State
Ever since the 9-11 assault and United States has been shifting away from the free and comfortable nation we once knew and enjoyed. The Patriot Act gave the federal government the authority to wiretap, conduct electronic surveillance, pry into private medical records and even open private financial records without a court order. The following month, almost to the day, President Bush created the Department of Homeland Security, combining a lot of already established government offices into one massive complex with over 200,000 employees assigned to respond to terrorist threats and national disasters. The freedoms given to police agencies to seize property and arrest civilians, sometimes without just cause, have been growing. The latest is the issuance of military equipment. Should we be worried?

Is Trump About Ready to Launch a War?
Being elected president of the most powerful nation in the world has not gone well for Donald Trump. After weeks of blundering there are few things left for the man to do to make his situation . . . and that of the nation . . . worse than it now is. One thing Trump has avoided to date, however, has been to push that terrifying red button that launches a nuclear strike against another nation. And he has verbally threatened to do even this against North Korea, a nations that has been experimenting and developing nuclear capabilities. History has proven that a declaration of war has a way of drawing a nation together around even an unpopular president. If Trump moves to make a nuclear strike, however, there is a powerful force in the wings that just might stop him. But the effects could be terrifying.

The Capitalist War Against American Workers
There is a mass movement among the working class . . . largely stirred by the severe acts of Donald Trump and his gang of thugs in Washington . . . to fight against suppression. A similar movement is going on all over the world where workers are calling for Globalization. In the United States the Capitalists are working hard to push it back. Thus we are in the midst of a battle between the "haves" and the "haves-not" and the enemy of the people is being clearly defined as Capitalism.

The Trump Assault on the News
The Washington gang has been busy covering Mr. Trump’s serpentine activities with “false news” and even going so far as to publish a false Time Magazine cover after Time and other world magazines portrayed him as an incompetent clown. With major newspapers and television networks now owned by a handful of big corporations, and aided by the Trump counter attacks, the American people have grown naturally suspicious of the news they are receiving.

With major newspapers and television networks now owned by a handful of big corporations, and aided by the Trump counter attacks, the American people have grown naturally suspicious of the news they are receiving.
Trump Protests Now Illegal?
Are the Republican controlled courts and legislators about to create a dictatorship with the help of the goon that now rules the nation with the appearance of an unhinged supremacy? Indeed the 212 protesters arrested by the Metropolitan Police while demonstrating against the inauguration of President Donald Trump in January are about to become a test case against a frightening legal crackdown on the nation’s First Amendment right to free speech. All are charged with felony rioting, urging to riot, conspiracy to riot and destruction of property. It is a list of felony charges that could carry sentences of 70 to 80 years in prison if they are found guilty.

Guns, the Jesuits and the Blood Diamond King
May 22, 2017
President Donald Trump’s visit this week to Israel, the Vatican and Saudi Arabia is probably linked more to his personal business interests than the U.S. relationship with Saudi warlords and Israel’s Zionist controlled leadership. His visit with the Jesuit Pope may have even more ominous implications.

SF Resolution Reflects California's Liberal Stand
Since the day Donald Trump and his gang of thieves took over Washington, California's Governor Jerry Brown has been leading a movement of rebellion against the moves by the Trump Administration to dismantle the nation. A resolution recently adopted by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors probably best describes the state's position as well.

Wall Blackmail: Trump Threatens Government Shutdown
There appears to be some hope for America after all. Congress is standing up to Trump’s insane projects at last. His request for $1.4 billion to be added to the proposed spending bill now winding its way through the Hill appears to be failing in both the House and Senate. That spending bill is necessary to keep the government operating after April 28. Guess what? Mr. Trump now threatens to veto the spending bill if it doesn't include the money he wants for his wall at the Mexican border. If he does this it will effectively shut the government down on Saturday, April 29.

Is Trump Nuts? Naval Attack Force Never Went to Korea
Just over a week ago President Donald Trump and the U.S. Pacific Command announced that the USS Carrier Carl Vinson and an attached “strike group” were ordered to steam to the coast of North Korea to display a show of force in an effort to get President Kim Jong Un to back down from plans to test another nuclear bomb. But it seems the Carrier Vinson and its fleet went the wrong direction. What is going on?

That Deadly North Korean-USA Nuke Faceoff
With just over two months into his presidency, Donald Trump is already portraying himself as a world bully willing to turn his mighty military force on any world power daring to defy him. The firing of 59 Tomahawk Missiles into a Syrian air base following a chemical attack on Syrian enemy forces and civilians; the dropping of one of the largest non-nuclear bombs in the military arsenal on Afghanistan rebels and the visible threat of a naval attack looming on North Korea because of that nation’s refusal to quit development of its own nuclear weapons are all ongoing events that have world leaders nervously watching Mr. Trump's next moves.

Destroying America From The Top Down
The Trump-Bannon package of executive orders appear to be a calculated series of actions designed to dismantle the government of the United States, one brick at a time. And they are doing it with such speed the nation’s elected and appointed lawmakers and legal eagles seem awestruck and perhaps powerless to stop them. Trump's “Comprehensive Plan for Reorganizing the Executive Branch” may turn out to be the most destructive act of them all.

Trump Administration vs Legalization of Marijuana
The fight for the legalization of cannabis in the United States was gaining important ground until Donald Trump moved into the White House in January. Now his appointment of Jeff Sessions as U.S. Attorney General appears to have thrown the nation back into a dark period when the mere possession of a packet of marijuana could send a person to prison.

What Tyrants Do To Take Over Democracies
--By Robert Reich - Robert Reich.org
They exaggerate their mandate to govern – claiming, for example, that they won an election by a “landslide” even after losing the popular vote. They criticize any finding that they or co-conspirators stole the election. And they repeatedly claim “massive voter fraud” in the absence of any evidence, in order to have an excuse to restrict voting by opponents in subsequent elections.

Brzezinski Slip: Is This The New Media Role?
Morning Joe television co-host Mika Brzezinski raised the eyebrows of a few long-time journalists this week when she said she believed the media's job is to "actually control exactly what people think." Brzezinski later attempted to "clarify" her remark after realizing the storm it caused in the news world. Yet a lot of old-time and experienced journalists, such as myself, have long suspected that what Brzezinski said publicly was perhaps a moment of truth.

Trump’s Press Attack Strangely Accurate
When President Donald Trump blasted the Washington Press Corps for inaccurate and slanted reporting during last week’s press conference, much of what he said was probably true. What is strange about this is that the corporate-owned media best represented at that conference has been in league with the G.O.P. agenda for longer than Mr. Trump has been in the limelight. The irony in all of this is that Trump, in his strange form of insane vanity, has been upset by the fact that even the right wing media has been shocked at the way he has been ravaging the old established traditions of Washington. They are beginning to tell the public what is really going on for a change.

Resisting Authoritarianism; Shut It All Down!
Now that Donald Trump is in power the general public is being shocked daily by the people he is selecting for a cabinet to help him run the nation, by his executive orders slashing the legs out of our existing government system and his fast-track moves to establish what many fear is going to be an authoritarian and dictatorial system of control. Protest movements are being organized for various public demonstrations this spring. But it there a way of getting them all under control so they can be more effective?

Egads! Trump May Be a Jesuit Robot!
A lot of people all over the world are wondering how a character like Donald Trump could climb to the power of the presidency in the United States. We believe we have discovered the real power behind the throne in this case. It lies at the Vatican. If you study the series of articles that appear on this website under the title “Jesuits,” you might come to an understanding of just how powerful the Vatican is in the world, especially in the fields of banking and military power.

Will Trump Drive California To Secession?
A story by Lou Colagiovanni that appeared in the blog Occupy Democrats, notes that a movement called “Calexit” is now afoot and pushed by the Yes California Independence Campaign” to circulate a petition calling for the secession of the state. The plan is to put the question before state voters in 2018 elections. Could such a movement succeed? If President Trump and his minions continue on their current inane actions the probabilities may be very high.
