Antimatter Theory Offers Incredible Probabilities
Ever since Paul Dirac theorized the existence of anti-matter in 1928, there has been a sense among world physicists that all things in the universe must have an opposing counterpart to preserve a necessary symmetry. The discovery of positrons, the anti-matter equivalent of electrons, and the subsequent discoveries of anti-protons and other anti-particles since Dirac have not only proven the existence of opposite forces, but opened the door to quantum physics.

Big Mystery How Do We Explain Gravity?
Every high school physics student knows that Isaac Newton "discovered" the fundamental nature of gravity in the late 1600s. By unraveling the mysteries of planetary movement and the Earth's "pull" on all of us, he became the father of modern physics. Yet beyond Newton, that is all we know about gravity, and we have been studying its principles for some 300 years. If all of the other laws of physics were applicable, we should all be flying wildly off the surface of this spinning ball and cast adrift in deep space. Yet just the opposite is happening. We have to fire powerful rockets just to lift an object off the planet.

Egad - The Gods Have Created Bugs That Make Oil!
If you ever question the creator god that exists in humanity, consider this: a team of researchers in Silicon Valley has found a way to genetically alter certain bacterium that feeds on agricultural waste and then excretes refined oil. The researchers, former software nerds now working with a number of a new ventures racing to create a source of fuel to replace the high-cost crude now being pumped from the Earth, believes the answer may lie in the mass production of oil via giant fermentation machines filled with wood chips, wheat straw and leaves. Best of all, says Greg Pal, senior director of LS9, one of the companies involved in the project, the petroleum product excreted by the genetically altered bugs has been shown to be both renewable and carbon negative.

The Nanobacteria Riddle
Remember all of the excitement over the 1996 announcement that the fossil remains of tiny life-forms were found on a meteorite found in arctic ice the traced back to Mars? The so-called life forms were so small it took a powerful electron microscope to see them. Since this discovery, researchers have discovered that similar minute-sized “nanoparticles” exist everywhere on Earth and possibly everywhere in the universe. It was thought by some that if these were, indeed, life forms, they represented proof that the building blocks of life exist everywhere. They became known as nanobacteria.

History May Not Be What We Think
Every time I start thinking about the human relationship to time, and the strange probability that time as we think we know it does not exist, the concepts begin to entangle my brain. Personal out-of-body encounters with life forces has revealed that these beings seem to have no concept of time. Thus I have concluded that time may have been invented specifically to help we humans keep some order to our own three-dimensional existence.

The Amazing Searl Antigravity Engine
When he was 18, a very bright young English boy named John Roy Robert Searl, who had an interest in electronics, was attempting to design a new type of generator. He built a device made of several metal plates and magnets that appeared to explain how UFOs can fly.
Russian Scientist Claims Negation Of Gravity
In this our second article dealing with the possibility of machines that defy gravity, we will be looking at the claims of Dr. Eugene Podkletnov, a Russian scientist, who attempted to publish an article in a scientific journal in 1996 that claimed it was possible to build machines that negated gravity. Podkletnov’s article was scheduled to be published in the respected British Journal of Physics-D. After the Sunday Telegraph of London got its hands on the article and published its own interpretation, Podkletnov’s ideas created a scientific storm.

Is Outer Space Only An Illusion?
The late Robert Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute at Faber, Virginia, and author of books describing his out-of-body explorations, described traveling to the planets when out of his body. But Monroe said he only could go so far before running into an invisible wall that stopped him cold. He reasons that astronauts may get no farther.

The Power Of The Mind
The amazing discovery of what world physicists at the Large Hadron Collider project in Switzerland are calling the "god particle," or Higgs Bosom, may soon topple the archaic human images of the Creator of everything. Instead of a mighty grandfather figure looking down at us from behind the clouds, the "God" humans have been worshipping for thousands of years is turning out to be a particle so tiny that it took the construction of a 17-mile long multi-billion-dollar machine to find it.
Identified by the team at the CERN site as the "glue" that makes it possible for matter to have mass, the illusive particle is sited by physicists as the reason we and all of the objects around us, including the Earth under our feet exist.

The Velikovsky Theories Of Colliding Planets
The late Immanuel Velikovsky set the scientific world aflame when he published his bestselling and controversial book Worlds in Collision in the 1950s. Based on cross-cultural mythology, including stories in the Old Testament about almost supernatural events going on in the heavens, Velokovsky concluded that the planet Venus was once ejected violently from the gas-giant Jupiter. It roamed for a while as a wild body, displaying a spectacular tail like a giant comet. During a close and catastrophic fly-by Earth in about 1500 BC, Jupiter became the backdrop to the Exodus stories of plagues, fire, the water of the Nile turning red, hailstones raining upon the land, earthquakes, and a pillar of fire and smoke rising in the sky

Are There Buildings On The Moon?
Author Richard Hoagland should probably be credited (or blamed) for launching stories about strange and unnatural structures discovered on the Moon. At the time of the Moon landings, Hoagland was gaining some fame for his theories about NASA photographs depicting a mile-wide engraved humanoid face on Mars. His book, "Monuments of Mars," was only then gaining popularity among the growing number of conspiracy theorists. Hoagland began expounding his theories during appearances on the popular Art Bell radio talk show. Here he not only promoted his theories about proof of a lost Martian civilization, but also began promoting the idea that NASA was hiding evidence of glass or crystal towers found on the Moon.

Solving The Starfish Death Mystery
We have known them as starfish but scientists now say the creatures should be called sea stars because they are not fish. They are sea creatures that are shaped like stars that are usually found in abundance in the oceans of the world. But something has been killing the sea stars by the millions. Marine researchers have described it as a kind of "wasting disease" that literally causes the lovely sea stars to turn into goo and fall apart.

Setting Time By The Moon Instead Of Clocks
The late Author-Professor José Argüelles believed clocks are a bane on humanity and that the archaic Georgian Calendar, created and mandated by the church, is an archaic way of controlling and operating our lives. He advocated replacing the Georgian Calendar with an even older, but more accurate 13-Moon – 28 Day calendar once used by the Mayans that he said is a "perfectly balanced solar/lunar measure" that he believed would have given the planet a new start toward a one-world government "and a shot at peace."

Lab Experiments Proving Out-Of-Body Experiences Are Real
At first thought one might say that using goggles and a virtual reality computerized device would not prove or disprove reports of out-of-body experiences. Yet a careful analysis of just how this device was used, and the sensation of being out of the body tested, suggests that the machine is really helping science prove that people can lift the veil and fly around in the astral, sometimes without warning. It appears that strapping on the goggles may have actually helped volunteers get out of their bodies and look at themselves from the "outside." Just how and why it happens appears to still be a subject of speculation.

Human Brains Are Shrinking; Is This Bad?
They don’t know why but scientists say the human brain has been getting smaller. Does that mean we are losing intelligence or is something else going on? Indeed, researchers have found that our brains have generally decreased from 1,500 cubic centimeters to 1,350 centimeters. This study looked at both male and female brains. It is happening everywhere on Earth. Should we be worried?

Is Something Happening To The Sun?
With all of the expressed concern about global warming brought on by greenhouse gas emissions from cars and industry, little notice has been given to a group of astrologers and solar physicists who are warning that some significant changes are occurring on the sun. Some are saying these solar changes, which include a reduction in sun spots, irradiance, solar wind and radio emissions, may be signaling the start of a new ice age, or at least a looming period of colder than usual temperatures around the globe.

X-Ray Infinity Symbol In The Heart Of The Milky Way
Something very strange has been discovered in the very heart of the massive black hole located in the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. Astrophysicists say data from NASA’s Fermi Gamma Ray Space Telescope shows two purple disks, about 25,000 light years in diameter, forming an obvious figure eight or infinity symbol. The scientists don’t know just what to make of the discovery. The two oval parts to the symbol appear to be X-ray energy that is creating separate super bubbles that mirror one another. Because of the distance, the images captured by the telescope show what was present about 30,000 years ago. They were the result of an event that occurred millions of years before this.

Did Life Once Exist On Venus?
Of all the planets in our solar system, the two closest to Earth are Mars and Venus. Until sending exploratory probes past both planets and learning the truth, we speculated about finding life. The harder we search, the more evidence we find that we are quite alone in this solar system. Both Mars and Venus appear to us today as dead planets incapable of supporting life as we know it. That may not always have been true. Venus has captured our interest because its make-up casts a closer resemblance to Earth than any of the other bodies in our system. This planet has a similar size and mass to Earth. It is closer to Earth than any other planet, and scientists believe it may have been formed from the same materials as the Earth. Some have speculated that if Earth has a twin sister, it is Venus.

Sprat Issue – Asteroid Strikes
Asteroids are large pieces of space debris that travel through space, often on strange broad orbits that bring them through our solar system at unexpected times. Some are no larger than a football, while others might be as large as a truck. We have always known about their existence, and found places on Earth where they have struck, leaving great scars on the landscape. But since they were thought to happen with intervals of thousands of years, we haven’t worried about them . . . that is until recently. It probably was Comet Shoemaker-Levy, which we watched through dozens of telescopes smash into Jupiter in 1994, resulting in a "zone of chaos" estimated to be as large of the Earth that helped generate a realization that those flying rocks might have slammed into us instead. What would have happened? Indeed, a cosmic collision of that magnitude has long been blamed for past mass extinctions on Earth, including the sudden extinction of the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago.

Tracking The Higgs Boson And Understanding Mass
Among the reasons world scientists have spent some 15 years and $9 billion building the massive 17-mile-long underground racetrack known as the Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, Switzerland has been a quest to find an obscure particle identified as the Higgs Boson. The Higgs Boson is named after Peter Higgs, a physicist at the University of Edinburgh and one of the scientists who theorized its existence. So they appear to have found it. Poring over data from CERN’s Large Hedron Collider, researchers have narrowed down the Higgs’ lifespan to something around 1.6 x 10-22 seconds: a time so short that tens of trillions of Higgs bosons might live and die before the light from the device you’re using to read this reaches your eyes.

Something Strange And Scary Observed – Antimatter Occurring
The concept of antimatter is almost mythological in its nature. Scientists who think about such things as particle physics have referred to it as “the mirror of the universe.” All that is seen and touched is described as normal matter composed of particles. There is speculation that the observable universe is “almost entirely matter” but some believe the dark parts of space may contain antimatter which is something apparently unseen. Thus there is some who think that the universe may not be as barren and empty as it appears, but is filled with antimatter.

That Black Hole Mystery – Hawking’s Concept
Famed Physicist the late Stephen Hawking probably did more than any living person to stir public knowledge and interest in something scientists have dubbed “black holes” in deep space. It now is commonly accepted among astronomers that black holes exist. Many of them are heavily involved in studying this unexplained phenomenon, locating where they are, and attempting to explain them. For quick background, a black hole is exactly what the name implies . . . a vast black void in space in which nothing appears to exist. Yet astronomers, aided by powerful new tools like the various space telescopes that not only look deeper into the universe than man has ever accomplished in the past, but are capable of studying such things as X-ray and infrared wavelengths, have proven that something unseen but very powerful exists within those strange areas of blackness.

Transplant Phenomena Suggests Cellular Memory
Ever since doctors in Boston successfully transplanted a living human Kidney in 1954, and Dr. Christian Bernard replaced a human heart in South Africa in 1967, there has been a boom in the business of organ transplants. While it is not the perfect solution to solving worn out body parts, the business of transplanting hearts, livers, kidneys, lungs, eyes and even fingers has become big business, with millions of successful cases worldwide. And as more and more patients recover from these surgical procedures, a strange thing has been happening. Some report having foreign memories, eerie new personal preferences and even unexplained emerging talents.

Radical New Scientific Theory: Time Is Running Out
The general theory is that the universe began with a Big Bang, and that all of the stars, planets and galaxies are flying away from one another like a large balloon filling with air. But there are problems with this theory that a team of scientists in Spain think they may have solved. Professor Jose Senovilla and colleagues Marc Mars and Raul Vera of the University of the Basque Country Bilbao and University of Salamanca, suggested that time is slowing down and giving astronomers the illusion of expanding space when they peer into deep space.

The Power Of The Mind
The amazing discovery of what world physicists at the Large Hadron Collider project in Switzerland called the "god particle," or Higgs Bosom, may topple the archaic human images of the Creator of everything. Instead of a mighty grandfather figure looking down at us from behind the clouds, the "God" humans have been worshiping for thousands of years is turning out to be a particle so tiny that it took the construction of a 17-mile long multi-billion dollar machine to find it.

Strange Paradox Of Movement
Mathematicians like to play with numbers to prove things that don’t make much sense. Among their odd numeric paradoxes is the one involving dichotomy. This paradox, like many in existence, is attributed to an ancient Greek philosopher named Zeno, who used it to argue that the universe is singular and that motion is impossible. Mathematically the argument supporting this paradox begins by stating a truth; that one-half plus one-quarter, plus one-eighth, plus one-sixteenth and on into infinity all adds up to 0.999. Using this formula it is therefore impossible to reach the conclusion, which is one.

The Conflict Over Human Cloning
Ever since scientists at Scotland’s Roslin Institute successfully cloned Dolly, the sheep in 1996, the world religious community has been in a panic over the probability of someone taking the next step and producing a human clone. Indeed, scientists have been busy cloning cows, goats, pigs, rats, mice, rabbits, cats, dogs, horses and mules but as far as we know, there has been no known record of a human clone. If it happened it would probably be kept very secret because in most parts of the world, the cloning of a human is not only illegal, it is considered by many to be immoral.

Are Science Fiction Writers Prophets – Or Idea Generators?
When French author Jules Verne wrote about men traveling to the moon in 1866, few would have dreamed that his story would become reality only 100 years later. I recall when Cartoonist Chester Gould gave his popular detective character Dick Tracy a two-way wrist radio communication device. That was back in the late 1940 and early 1950s, before the walkman, the cellular telephone or a portable computer that fits in the pocket was ever thought possible. Now, obviously influenced by the popular television Star Trek series, scientists are working on such concepts as teleportation of goods and people, and cloaking devices for hiding ships and aircraft from the view of the enemy.

Could Alien Intelligence Be Found Under A Microscope?
I once found an odd story about the discovery of a tiny quarter-inch long UFO "intercepted" over Washington D.C. The story said the ship, weighing no more than an ounce, contained a cockpit that obviously carried an intelligent being. It said the ship "so eerily resembles a small flying insect that experts suspect it was designed that way as camouflage." Was it a hoax or does tiny intelligent life exist?

The Almost Unknown Genius of Vernon A. Trigger
During the years that I worked as a bureau reporter for The Times Herald, a daily newspaper published at Port Huron, Michigan, I met and attempted to write a featured story about Vernon A. Trigger, an eccentric retired inventor/engineer living on the Lake Huron coast near Forestville. Trigger’s story was so remarkable and so involved that I spent more than one session with him, getting all of the information I needed for the story. Then after the piece was written and filed, the state editor I was working under at the time, a perverse little character named Bill Florence, accused me of making it all up and refused to publish it. Thus the Trigger story remains unknown to this day to the people who probably knew him best in his final years.

Hofmann Was Living Proof That LSD Critics Are Wrong
Albert Hofmann, the Dutch scientist who discovered synthesized lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) in 1938, was the first person in the world to experience a full-blown “acid trip.” Hofmann, who went on to make other great medical discoveries, died in 2008 at the ripe old age of 102. That he experimented with LSD, and likely used the drug more then once, certainly did not cause him to lose his mind, jump off high buildings, or do other dangerous things. The drug obviously did nothing to damage his health. Read his amazing story.

Will Machines Someday Rule?
There is something interesting occurring in our contemporary world. The human race is recklessly polluting the air, water and land and using up the planet’s natural resources so completely that it appears we are heading for an early extinction. While this is going on, the development of intelligent robotic machines is reaching a point where the machines are beginning to think for themselves. This leads to an interesting idea. Is it possible that once robots learn to reason and replace broken parts, repair each other and even build new and better replicas of themselves that they will continue on to rule this planet long after intelligent life on it is dead?

The Days Of Peleg
Peleg, a fifth generation descendant of Noah, is briefly mentioned in the tenth chapter of the Book of Genesis:
“And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.”
And therein we have a mystery. There is no explanation of the dividing of the Earth, or why Peleg’s name should be uniquely associated with it. If Peleg and Joktan were brothers, why wasn’t the Earth divided in their days?

Exciting Alternative Energy Sources Right Under Our Noses
An interesting article in Common Ground by Alastair Bland outlined four “far-out renewable energy technologies” that are not only feasible, but already considered as future sources of heat, lights and power. Reaching beyond the most common sources including wind, solar, ocean currents, flowing rivers and making ethanol from plants, Bland takes his readers into new and somewhat thought-provoking places. They include methane gas from sewage plants, and livestock feedlots; gasification of landfill trash, converting algae into oil and capturing hydrogen from thin air.

Slim Spurling And His Amazing Light-Life Ring
The late American meta-physician Slim Spurling had a most unusual life that culminated in 1991 with the invention of a simple coil that he claimed had an amazing healing effect on the human body. It also lowers the freezing temperature of water, can dissipate clouds and turn away storms, makes plants grow with more vigor, and generally brings more “life force energy” to everything in its field.

Kids Build Car That Runs On Soybeans
Back in 2006 when CBS News’ traveling story-teller Steve Hartman zeroed in on five West Philadelphia High School students who designed a car that ran on soybeans, the story caused a stir among news sources anxious to generate some good news in the midst of a growing global oil crisis. The story gave a gleaming review of the ingenuity of these kids who participated in a shop program that involved redesigning an existing car engine and carboration system to burn alternative fuels.

Psychedelics May Be Good For US
Some years back, when Jerry Garcia was the featured performer in the Grateful Dead band, my late wife Doris and I had the opportunity to attend a live performance at the Pontiac Silverdome. Not only was the music good but the packed crowd of mostly young people had a grand time not only at the concert but afterwards in social events in the courtyard. We were struck by the fact that the air was thick with the smell of marijuana and hashish, and tiny squares of LSD were being passed among the thousands of participants. What was interesting: everybody had a wonderful time. Because of this experience it was not surprising to learn about a research team at the University of Alabama that found that psychedelic use reduces the likelihood of criminal behavior.

Tracking The Origins Of Planets
We live on a giant spinning collection of rock, dirt, heated lava and water that is one of the eight known planets in our solar system. We know this. What we do not know is how the planets formed the way they did, and why it happened. The theories range from a magical creation of everything from nothing by a master Creator of All, to a Big Bang that split the heart of a super collection of matter and launched the process that created a universe. For scientists that want to reject the magical creation of something from nothing and calculate ways in which things might have turned out the way they did, the detailed study of the planets, their moons and all of the other things flying around our Sun has raised more questions than it has produced answers.

The Fungi and Bacterium in Space
Mir was a successful Soviet modular space station that preceded anything NASA accomplished by the time it went into low Earth orbit in 1986. The station was assembled in space and it remained in orbit until it was purposefully brought down in March, 2001. At the time Mir was the largest man-made object hoovering over the Earth. When news of its loomed falling somewhere in the South Pacific caused people in the Southern Hemisphere to worry about having fiery pieces accidentally crash land in their yards, or on their homes. We reported, however, that another serious potential danger also was dropping that month. The station was full of fungi and bacterium that seemed to thrive both inside and on the outside . . . in the emptiness of space. Now we learn it is happening to the International Space Station as well.

Have We Found Evidence of Life on Mars?
Some say Richard C. Hoagland started the "life on Mars" controversy in 1987 when he published his book "The Monuments of Mars." Others link it to a day in 1996 when it was announced that a Martian rock found in Antarctica appeared to contain fossilized remains of tiny living organisms. But history buffs know that Percival Lowell, a 19th Century American astronomer, was among the first to propose that living intelligent creatures occupied that planet. It was in 1895 when Lowell, peering through his telescope near Flagstaff, Arizona, observed straight lines on the planet's surface that he perceived to be canals. Both Hoagland and Lowell's ideas were considered radical at their time, but now new evidence is beginning to suggest some life forms may really exist on Mars.

The Complexities Of Thinking About Parallel Universes
Within the recent years physicists and mathematicians have developed a string theory that makes the concept of parallel universes plausible. Plausible, at least, mathematically. From a reality standpoint, the probability of our ever finding a way to easily travel from one universe to its twin appears to be out of our grasp. The string theory suggests that, at its core, the universe we live in is composed of subatomic strings within a closed loop, or circle. According to the theory, everything in the universe can be explained in terms of these microscopic strings, or loops. To get a grasp on this, think of the tiny atom with protons and electrons in motion around neutrons, much as planets spin around our sun and millions of solar systems spinning around in a constellation and each constellation spinning about within a galaxy, and so on.

Dark Matter – The Mysterious Universe Beyond Our Scope
Scientists have determined that the Universe is filled with something called dark matter and dark energy . . . stuff that shows up in quantum physics but not in our range of sight. They are busy now trying to figure out just what dark matter is, how it works, the role it plays in the scheme of things, and why it remains invisible to us. Some have gone so far as to suggest that dark matter is negative matter. Others describe it as an invisible fluid ever flowing throughout the space between the stars. It seems to be the opposite of the positive matter that comprises the suns, moons and planets operating throughout the various solar systems and galaxies in our known universe.

Genetic Mystery – Where Do Dogs Come From?
A team of scientists studying the genome of the dog has discovered its origin dates back at least 100,000 years and is linked to the grey wolf in Asia. The team from the Broad Institute of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, published its findings in the British journal Nature. “Dogs evolved through a mutually beneficial relationship with humans, sharing living space and food sources,” the study suggests. Dogs are believed to be the first animals domesticated by humans. Over thousands of years, the group said, and genetic pressure by Homo sapiens caused the emergence of dog breeds which specialized in herding, hunting and obedience, as well as dogs prized for certain looks. But there is a mystery connected here.

Antigravity Engines Powered UFO Type Aircraft
When he was 14, a very bright young English boy named John Roy Robert Searl, who had an interest in electronics, was attempting to design a new type of generator. He built a device made of several metal plates and 12 magnetic rollers. When finished, Searl was astounded when the oval plates began to turn, apparently without any outside influence. They soon were spinning faster and faster, until the device developed a field around itself then rose up from the table and struck the ceiling. When Searl took the device outside, it rose so high it disappeared in the clouds and was never seen again.

Mysteries Of Deep Space: What Is Really Out There?
As our world plunges toward its own apocalyptic demise because of overpopulation human pollution and mismanagement of our natural resources, people are thinking seriously about escaping to the stars. But even if humans can somehow physically evolve and adapt to living on other worlds, space is not the solution to the human dilemma. The classic science fiction image of human space travel and settlement throughout the stars may be prohibited by the fact that we are only now learning about what is out there.

Is Time Speeding Up?
Older folks are quite aware of the way time seems to pass at a faster pace as we age. When we were children, it seemed that a day of play was a very long time. A year was eternity, and we had a tendency to wish the clocks to run faster when waiting for special events like birthdays or a vacation trip. After hitting the big 40, it seems as if the clock begins spinning so fast we want to put the brakes on it. But to no avail. Thinning hair, root canals, middle-age bulge, aching joints, hemorrhoids and fast growing nose hairs all become part of our daily lives. You don't see the older generation celebrating birthdays like children do. If we can pause from the pace of our daily lives to take note, world events also seem to be developing at a faster pace. It is almost as if everybody is in a race toward something . . .

Strange Case Of A Man With No Brain
An odd twist of research into the human brain was sparked some years ago at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, UK, after a campus doctor treating a student for a minor ailment discovered that he had no brain. As the story goes, the doctor noticed the student’s head was a little larger than normal, and he referred the man to the late Professor John Lorber for further examination. When examined by CAT-scan, it was discovered that this man, a mathematics student with an IQ of 126, had virtually no brain at all.

Antimatter Theory Offers Incredible Probabilities
Ever since English physicist Paul Dirac theorized the existence of anti-matter in 1928, there has been a sense among world physicists that all things in the universe must have an opposing counterpart to preserve a necessary symmetry. The discovery of positrons, the anti-matter equivalent of electrons, and the subsequent discoveries of anti-protons and other anti-particles since Dirac have not only proven the existence of opposite forces, but opened the door to quantum physics. Since Dirac, scientists also have dared to consider the possibility of parallel universes, time travel, teleportation and many of the other things that once fell into the realm of science fiction.

So What Was That Strange Thing?
It was on October 19, 2017, that Hawaiian astronomer Robert Weryk first detected the mystery traveler, a shiny small cigar shaped object tumbling and traveling at high speed through our solar system. It has been named “Oumuamua,” a Hawaiian word when means “scout,” or “first distant messenger.” Because it was too small for our satellite cameras to capture an accurate picture we are left with an artist’s concept of what it looked like. The data collected found the object to have an elongated, cigar-shape that was apparently clear of dust and dirt so there was no flare of a tail like a comet makes. One report said it had a reddish hue that reflected light. And it was tumbling as it zipped through our solar system as if it was slingshot from other worlds.

Transplant Phenomena Suggests Cellular Memory
Ever since doctors in Boston successfully transplanted a living human kidney in 1954, and Dr. Christian Bernard replaced a human heart in South Africa in 1967, there has been a boom in the business of organ transplants. While it is not the perfect solution to solving worn out body parts, the business of transplanting hearts, livers, kidneys, lungs, eyes and even fingers has become big business, with nearly one million successful cases worldwide. And as more and more patients recover from these surgical procedures, a strange thing has been happening. Some report having foreign memories, eerie new personal preferences and even unexplained emerging talents.

Big Mystery - How Do We Explain Gravity?
Every high school physics student knows that Isaac Newton "discovered" the fundamental nature of gravity in the late 1600s. By unraveling the mysteries of planetary movement and the Earth's "pull" on all of us, he became the father of modern physics. Yet beyond Newton, that is all we know about gravity, and we have been studying its principles for some 300 years. If all of the other laws of physics were applicable, we should all be flying wildly off the surface of this spinning ball and cast adrift in deep space. Yet just the opposite is happening. We have to fire powerful rockets just to lift an object off the planet.

Will Time Tinkerers Alter Our Future?
Dr. Lijun Wang at the NEC research institute in Princeton excited the physics community a few years ago when he conducted a lab experiment that appeared to have given us a glimpse of a multi-dimensional reality. Wang transmitted a pulse of light towards a chamber filled with specially treated cesium gas, and recorded its travel through the chamber at an accelerated speed of up to 300 times the speed of light. His experiment seems to have proved the possibility of time travel. Other researchers say they are not so sure.

The Weight Of The Human Soul
There has been disagreement over the centuries over just what the human soul is, or even if it exists. The soul, which is not the same thing as the spirit, seems to be that spark of something within us that links us to our creator. Some say this is God. Others believe it is the spirit of Mother Earth, from which we were spawned and to where we will return after our bodies are turned to rot. In light of what we think and perhaps believe, how do we prove that we have a soul? There was a strange experiment by a doctor in Massachusetts back in 1907 that suggests something, indeed, leaves the body at the moment of death. And that something weighs about 21 grams.

Denying Bad News Makes Us "Feel Good"
Sometimes it seems hard to believe that national leaders like our own president and many of his staffers would deny global warming even though the evidence around us is becoming so overwhelming even the average Joe on the street senses that something is really wrong. Researchers believe they may have the answer . . . and it may not be political.

Significance of the God Particle
The amazing discovery in 2012 of what world physicists at the Large Hadron Collider project in Switzerland are calling the "god particle," or Higgs Bosom, appears to topple the archaic human images of the Creator of everything. Instead of a mighty grandfather figure looking down at us from the clouds, the "God" humans have been worshiping for thousands of years is turning out to be a particle so tiny that it took the construction of a 17-mile long multi-billion dollar machine to find it. Identified by the team at the CERN site as the "glue" that makes it possible for matter to have mass, the illusive particle is sited by physicists as the reason we and all of the objects around us, including the Earth under our feet exist.
The amazing discovery in 2012 of what world physicists at the Large Hadron Collider project in Switzerland are calling the "god particle," or Higgs Bosom, appears to topple the archaic human images of the Creator of everything. Genetic Art/Engineers Create Pigs' Wings
I couldn't ignore this story. I am sure Lewis Carroll portrayed the image of flying pigs as a narcotic induced fantasy or perhaps a joke of pure fiction when he penned the lyrics for "The Walrus And The Carpenter." Carroll would, no doubt, have a real chuckle if he knew that two young genetic "artists" were crossing genes and experimenting with making pigs' wings. The work by Oron Catts and Ionat Zurr, at the University of Western Australia, was part of a project called Tissue Culture and Art.

British Psychiatrists Call For End Of LSD Taboo
British psychiatrists now debate the possibility of using LSD for therapeutic treatment of patients under controlled conditions. They know, as many psychiatrists including Dr. Timothy Leary knew 30 years ago, that the drug is especially effective at unlocking obsessive behavior. Leary, who paid for his fascination with mind altering substances by serving time in prison, proved that certain psychedelic drugs like LSD and psilocybin mushrooms helped habitual felons break the cycle of repetitive criminal offense. He also used the drugs effectively to alter other undesirable and unwanted behavior patterns.

Discovery: All Galaxies Spin Like Clockwork
A personal theory that our constantly moving and spinning universe is a depiction of a living Creator has found support in a discovery in Australia at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research. Astronomers at Curtin University and the University of Western Australia say they have discovered that all galaxies rotate like clocks, making complete turns every billion years. This happens no matter how large or how dense the galaxy measures, Professor Gerhardt Meurer told writers for Phys.Org. "It's not Swiss watch precision," Meurer said, "But regardless of whether a galaxy is very big or very small, if you could sit on the extreme edge of its disk as it spins, it would take you about a billion years to go all the way round."

Costly Desalinated Water Looms In Our Future
The problem of providing enough potable drinking water to supply the needs of an overpopulated and polluted world has been an unspoken world crisis for some time. Wars both large and small are raging in many parts of the world over water rights. A changing climate brought on by global warming is bringing droughts in populated areas that are intensifying this dilemma and bringing it to public awareness. There is a solution. There is a process of separating salt from seawater called desalination that makes it drinkable, but it is costly and subsequently has been slow to catch on, especially in the United States.

Does Water Have Consciousness?
Water, perhaps the most vital component for life, is so abundant on Earth that most humans take it for granted. Yet the very consistency of water is a mystery within itself.Comprised of two explosive gasses, hydrogen and oxygen, when combined in a simple formula of two parts oxygen and one part hydrogen, water becomes a fluid substance that has the capability of dowsing fire and maintaining life. Once the gases combine to form water, it almost takes a rocket scientist to figure out how to separate them again. Not long ago, Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist claimed that he believed water has a consciousness of its own and that mankind must not only understand this, but learn to show a love and respect for water if we expect to continue our existence.

Tesla’s Mystery 1930 Automobile
There is a story that the genius inventor Nicola Tesla once tested a mystery motor in a 1930 vintage Pierce Arrow automobile that ran without any sign of energy source other than an antenna and two strange metal bars that projected out of an “energy receiver” mounted under the dashboard. As the story goes, the gasoline engine was replaced wit h a round, completely enclosed electric motor about a meter in length and 65 centimeters in diameter. The motor ran hot so it required a cooling fan in front of it. They said there was no distributor. The rest of the car’s drive train, from the clutch to the rear wheels, remained intact.

Converting CO2 into Clean Air & Energy
There is some amazing news coming from University of Central Florida this winter. A researcher employed there has just discovered a way to use the process of photosynthesis to convert carbon dioxide into clean air and produce a new form of energy in the process. Dr. Fernando Uribe-Romo, assistant professor of chemistry at the Orlando based school has just published his findings in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A.

The Human Soul Is More Than An Electrical Impulse
I read that Professor Johnjoe McFadden, of the School of Biomedical and Life Sciences at the University of Surrey, in the UK, is looking for an electronic explanation for the conscious mind.
McFadden entertains a theory that our thoughts are electromagnetic fields that radiate into space around us like radio or television signals. In a sense, we think the professor may be quite right about our ability to transmit messages via human energy fields, but there seems to be something more to it than mere electrical waves.

Mystery of the Grounded Dead Whale
When the story of the body of a dead 25-ton whale found in a Utah field popped up in World News Daily Report a lot of readers must have overlooked the fact that the on-line publication specializes in satire and fantasy. That may be because the story appeared with a picture of the dead whale lying in an open field with a couple of men standing by. So if not in Utah, where did a large animal like that meet such a strange end?

Surgical Transfer Of Human Cellular Memory
The proof of universal intelligence and communication on all levels, from the single cell to the vastness of galaxies, is unveiling itself to us with startling clarity in recent years. The relatively recent advent of surgical transplanting of organs from human to human has generated stories that point directly to the transfer of cellular memory from the donor to the recipient.

Similarity of Neuron and Galaxy Networks
Italian researchers Franco Vazza and Alberto Feletti have supported a thesis we have been proposing, that the Creator exists in all things and that we, as living creatures on this planet, are but a minute particle of the energy that is the Living God. In a paper recently published in Nautilus, Vazza, an astrophysicist at Radio Astronomy Institute, Bologna, and Feletti, a neuroscientist at NOCSAE Hospital, Universitaria di Modena, noted the “strange similarity” between Neurons and the Galaxy.

Have We Got Another Planet or Two in Our Solar System?
Astronomers Mike Brown and Konstantin Batygin of California Institute of Technology say they have discovered strong evidence of “something big” in the outer regions of our solar system. It may be at least one additional planet if not two of them. They haven’t confirmed their findings yet, but they say the strange behavior of six Kuiper Belt objects suggest that their orbits are being influenced by the magnetic pull of something very large in their neighborhood. They calculate that this body is about 10 times more massive than Earth and orbiting about 20 times farther from the Sun than Neptune.

Natural Fish LSD Trip
It seems that our world is filled with natural sources of hallucinations so no matter what governments do to cut off the supply, people who want to achieve the mind expanding experience can do so. A recent news clipping made that clear to me. It seems that two men who dined on the heads of Sarpa salpa fish in a Mediterranean restaurant developed what was described as “a rare form of hallucinogenic poisoning” and one was rushed to a local hospital after complaining of “vivid and terrifying auditory and visual hallucinations.” It seems that a substance found in the heads of certain bottom-feeding fish can produce a reaction compared to an LSD high.

Our Living Universe
A common question asked when I am becoming acquainted with new friends is what religion I follow. Since falling away from Christianity, which was my backbone for most of my life, I have had a difficult time answering. That is because I didn’t have a name for the way I perceive the Creator. Two brilliant U.S. researchers have just revealed a new scientific concept they are calling “panpsychism,” which comes about as close to describing my perception of things as anything else I have found. Panpsychism suggests that the universe is a sentient, living consciousness. And this is what I have concluded after years of study and thought.

Can CRISPR Be An Exciting New Weapon Against Cancer?
Special report by guest writer Sally Fox
Deep within the exciting new world of genetic research into human health is a strange acronym known as CRISPR, a tool that some researchers believe may prove to be a powerful system for attacking cancer cells, the AIDS virus and perhaps an unlimited number of hereditary diseases, and chronic health conditions of the human body. Some researchers say CRISPR technology may be stirring a revolution in medical research. They say it is changing not only the way basic research is conducted, but also the way they now think about treating disease. Critics, however, say the use of CRISPR, which has only been used in experiments on lab mice, has yet to be proven as an agent for curing human immune system ailments.

Divinity Students See Reality In “Good Friday” Mushroom Experiment
On Good Friday, 1962, twenty Protestant divinity students participated in a volunteer experiment, conducted by the late Walter Pahnke, with psychedelic mushrooms. The Pahnke experiment, which was research for his PhD degree in Divinity at Harvard University, was conducted under the supervision of the late Dr. Timothy Leary. It was designed to investigate the potential pf psychedelic drugs and their link to the mystical experience. The experiment was one of many conducted by Leary and his associates, using both psilocybin mushrooms and LSD as potential treatments for mental disorders and for altering states of consciousness. This, it should be noted, was done back when both drugs were legal to possess and to use.

Are Ancient Diseases Being Unleashed?
Global warming appears to be creating a new problem for humanity; the unleashing of ancient diseases left buried in the Arctic and Antarctic ice for thousands of years. The discovery of a 30,000-year-old giant virus in the frozen Siberian tundra recently shocked researchers into thinking such a medical issue is very possible. Even more worrisome is the realization that this ancient virus is still alive.

It said the ship "so eerily resembles a small flying insect that experts suspect it was designed that way as camouflage." Was it a hoax? Just because our awareness of intelligent life forms on Earth indicate that we have evolved to a certain size, we should not dismiss the possibility that intelligence exists in numerous other forms, including tiny beings that fly around in undetected ships that look like insects.

Gene Research Supports Ancient Human Genetic Manipulation
A researcher at the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute said he found genetic evidence that the human brain evolved at an “extraordinary speed” when compared to the brains of other animals. A paper, published in 2005 by Professor Bruce Lahn, a teacher of human genetics at the University of Chicago, inadvertently supports a theory that humans on Earth are genetically altered apes carrying DNA planted by possible alien intervention thousands of years ago.

Cellulosic Ethanol – A Better Way To Fuel Jets and Cars
The rush to begin production of ethanol from corn and other sugar/starch plants as a fuel alternative for cars quickly turned out to be a problem. The production was not fuel-efficient and it created competition for vital crops also needed to feed an overpopulated world. The demand for corn, sugar cane and other food products to feed ethanol plants has helped create a spike in the cost of food. Now a plant in Soperton, Ga. is testing methods of turning steel mill off-gases into ethanol and aircraft jet fuel.

Norway Study: LSD May Actually Be Good For You
A new study published in the PLOS One journal by researchers Pal-Orjan Johansen and Teri Krebs of the Norwebian University of Science and Technology found that the warnings published in American scientific journals are nothing more than fabricated fiction designed to frighten potential users away from trying LSD. The study, which analyzed data on over 130,000 Americans who answered drug use surveys between 2001 and 2004, found "there were no significant associations between lifetime use of any psychedelics, or use of LSD in the past year, and increased rate of any of the mental health outcomes. Rather, in several cases, psychedelic use was associated with a lower rate of mental health problems."

The Theory Of Critical Mass
There exists a theory of critical mass linked to a belief in the evolution of human consciousness. With billions of humans all using their minds at the same time, they are tapping in and being influenced by a central information library called the collective unconsciousness. In contemporary scientific terminology, this phenomenon is called "thought contagion" resulting from "morphic resonance of the group mind." The theory is that a certain number of "awakened" human beings can initiate "a significant shift in global consciousness." The result is a fusion of awakening among others until the entire planet is filled with enriched humans, their brains working collectively for the good of all.

That Curious Number 9
Numerologists and people who play with sacred geometry, astrology and just accumulate peculiar facts have long been fascinated by the uniqueness of the simple number 9. That is because all numeric equations and even the measurements of the universe seem to end up at the number 9.

Genetic Oddity: Girl Could Give Birth To Her Sister
We knew even in the early years of genetic research and DNA mapping that humans were on the brink of becoming gods of creation. The story of a Montreal woman who froze her eggs so that her daughter, suffering from a rare syndrome that makes her infertile, might one-day choose to have a child of her own, raised a few Canadian eyebrows. If the daughter chooses to accept one of the eggs and with her chosen mate bears a child, the girl, who was at that time only seven, may one day become the mother of her biological half-brother or half-sister.

Did BP Unleash A Zombie Bacteria?
After the Deepwater Horizon disaster of 2010 all of the usual methods of collecting and removing crude oil from ocean waters and the coastal regions were put into play. British Petroleum also dropped nearly two million gallons of Corexit oil dispersant that they said would break down the thick crude oil into small particles making it easier to remove. What we didn’t know is that BP, in conjunction with Synthetic Genomics Inc. of Rockville, Maryland, was also adding a newly created and experimental synthetic bacteria code-named Synthia that was designed in the laboratory to feed on crude oil. It reportedly fed on the oil, but some say it may have mutated. What else could this bacteria be feeding on?

The Amazing Keshe Plasma Generator
Dr. Mehran Tavakoli (M.T.) Keshe is a nuclear physicist who claims to have discovered the source of free energy that the late Nikola Tesla was blocked from giving the world nearly a century ago. Keshe, who is allegedly hiding out in Italy after surviving attempts on his life, says he has built and privately tested a plasma generator that has the potential of providing free, safe and non-toxic energy to everyone. He even offers the blueprints for building his device on his personal website.

Nuclear Fusion; The Energy of the Sun
The massive billion dollar stellerator at Germany’s Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics has just successfully shown that the long-sought concept of nuclear fusion may just be possible. When they turned it on early this year the machine heated blobs of hydrogen gas up to 80 million degrees, creating helium plasma. The effect only lasted for a quarter of a second, but it proved to the research team that the concept will work. It could provide a new and safer (?) source of energy for the world.

The Real Search For Planet X
It was in 1976 that Zecharia Sitchin stirred the esoteric world with his controversial book The Twelfth Planet. Sitchin interpreted ancient Sumerian text to claim that the ancients knew of a planet called Nibiru. Astronomers have been on the hunt for “Planet X” ever since a mystery planet was predicted in 1846 by French mathematician Urbain Le Verrier. Based upon Le Verrier’s theories, Astronomers at the Berlin Observatory discovered Neptune, right where Le Verrier thought it would be. Using his formulas and more powerful telescopes the search has been on for even more planets that may be out there.

Theory of Life on the Sun
We know that the early church taught nutty things like a flat Earth and that the stars all revolved around our planet. That was 2,000 years ago. But would you believe the astronomer who discovered Uranus about 200 years ago also theorized there was life on the Sun? The astronomer’s name was William Herschel, a British musician who shared a love for astronomy with his sister, Caroline. They were working together when Herschel identified a new planet in the Solar System that was later named Uranus. The discovery gave him fame in the scientific community. When he theorized that the Sun was a planet and may have living creatures on it, his idea was given credence. To heck with Galileo's crazy ideas eh, what?

The Amazing Intelligence of Fish
Because they exist in an environment so unlike our own, humans generally consider fish as nothing more than creatures to be caught, scaled and fried for the dinner table. Some people enjoy placing smaller colorful fish in home tanks as instruments of decoration and personal amusement. Some people consider fish as personal pets. It is this latter group that may not be surprised at a finding by Oxford University researcher Cait Newport and her team that a study of archerfish revealed that this breed of fish can clearly distinguish between the human faces peering at them from the other side of the tank.

Is NASA Hiding Evidence of Intelligent Life on Mars?
Some say Richard C. Hoagland started the "life on Mars" controversy in 1987 when he published his book "The Monuments of Mars." Others link it to a day in 1996 when it was announced that a Martian rock found in Antarctica appeared to contain fossilized remains of tiny living organisms. But history buffs know that Percival Lowell, a 19th Century American astronomer, was among the first to propose that living intelligent creatures occupied that planet. After years of probing, what has NASA learned?

CRISPR – Possible Answer To GMO Dilemma
The growing world rejection of Monsanto’s genetically modified foods may have an alternative to creating more and improved cuisine without having to swallow the poison that comes with it. Instead of GMO the new word may be CRISPR.

Awakening The Brain-Dead
As if contemporary science hasn’t already pushed the boundaries of creation to the limits with its complex experimentation with genetic manipulation and cloning, now a U.S. biotech company has been granted permission to experiment on ways to restart the nervous systems of “brain-dead” medical patients.

Energy From Sun And Sand
While the Middle East turned out to be a major source of crude oil during the industrial age, who would have thought that dry and sandy part of the world might remain a key source of alternative green energy when world demands changed? Thanks to the engineers at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, a graduate level research oriented university in the United Arab Emirates, an exciting idea for utilizing solar heat and desert sand to generate power is on the drawing table.

Exploring The Lucifer Project
It has been said that plutonium is an almost useless waste product produced by operating nuclear power systems. It has been found useful for only one thing . . . the production of nuclear bombs. Conventional efforts to use this deadly heavy metal as a friendly energy source have apparently proved unsuccessful. So why is the U.S. Department of Energy allowing the shipment of plutonium waste to a nuke facility on the Savannah River in South Carolina?

Sumerian’s Told How the Moon Was Made
Within the thousands of clay Mesopotamian disks found laced with ancient Sumerian text is an interesting account describing the creation of the moon. It coincides with the most recent scientific theories that involve a possible collision of planets that broke away a chunk of the body that was to become Earth, thus creating a mini-image of Earth that remains in orbit to this day.

Fun With The Theory of Antimatter
Ever since Paul Dirac theorized the existence of anti-matter in 1928, there has been a sense among world physicists that all things in the universe must have an opposing counterpart to preserve a necessary symmetry. The discovery of positrons, the anti-matter equivalent of electrons, and the subsequent discoveries of anti-protons and other anti-particles since Dirac have not only proven the existence of opposite forces, but opened the door to quantum physics. Since Dirac, scientists have dared to consider the possibility of parallel universes, time travel, teleportation and many of the other things that once fell into the realm of science fiction.

Slaves To The Zeigarnik Effect
Have you ever noticed that the most popular television shows always leave you "hanging" at the end of each week’s episode so you will be sure to tune in the following week to learn what happened to the hero or heroine? This is an old trick that script writers, and novelists like to use in their books to spike continued interest in watchers and readers so that they remain in the game, so-to-speak. There is a name for this kind of trickery. It is called the Zeigarnik Effect, named after Bluma Zeigarnik, a Russian psychologist who made a study of human behavior.

Is A Deadly Comet Out There Somewhere?
Historians have speculated that large comets or asteroids colliding with Earth were responsible for ancient extinctions of life. There are major impact collision holes around the planet that help prove that such strikes have occurred. Thus there has been cause for people to speculate that such a catastrophic event may someday happen again. Author and researcher Graham Hancock suggests there may be at least one very big object out there with our name on it.

Are Human’s Programmed For 25-Hour Days?
We once heard it theorized that the 24-hour clock and Gregorian calendar are Christian inventions and designed to keep humans out of synchronization with their real place in time and space. It is believed by many in esoteric circles that space and time are creations of our minds and that they may not really exist. Anyone who has traveled out of the body and had contact with life forms on the astral or spirit plane is aware of the fact that time there is non-existent. It also is possible for a person in that state to travel instantly anywhere, even to a distant planet, by merely thinking of it. So why would the creation of the 24-hour clock and the 12-month calendar be a problem for us?

The 1899 Tesla Interview
In 1899, when he was 43 years old and already renowned for his amazing inventions, Nicola Tesla submitted to an interview with journalist John Smith for the magazine Immortality. The interview was conducted in Tesla's laboratory in Colorado Springs. What was published was the transcript of the interview, exactly as the questions were raised and Tesla answered them. He obviously spoke in broken English which is reflected in some of the phrasing. What appeared in print that year was a rare and unique look at the spiritual, philosophical, and very personal side of a most amazing man who changed the way the world operates.

Utilizing The Human Collective To Solve Vexing Problems
A team of thinkers at Cornell University and the Human Computation Institute has come up with a novel idea for finding solutions to some of the great problems of the world . . . like solving global warming, finding cures to cancer or bringing an end to war. They suggest incorporating the issue in computer games and letting world gamers look for answers.

“Designer Babies” Just Around The Corner
The new research by geneticists in world laboratories is already opening doors for genetic tampering in an effort to create designer children, free of inherited disease and deformity. The idea is that through genetic tinkering babies can be created that will not inherit parental links to diabetes, heart disease and horrors like Huntington’s or Lou Gehrig's disease. Other genetic problems like buck teeth, dwarfism, weak eyesight and even mental illness might be erased. The result might be the future development of a perfect race of humanoids to replace the crippled masses now occupying the planet. It sounds wonderful at first thought. But . . .

Astronomer’s Call For Colonizing The Stars Not Realistic
Seth Shostak, a senior SETI astronomer, recently issued a call for humanity to plan the colonization of the stars. Shostak’s logic involved looking back in history to how people thought at the time of Christopher Columbus, and the colonizing of the planet that has occurred since. He noted the parallels between the ocean-going explorers of that era, and today’s space pioneers. Shostak said the explorers moved from setting out on their first voyages to creating rather accurate maps of the continents in a span of about 50 years. After that humans focused on colonizing the newly discovered lands. He said astronomers have mimicked the discovery portion of this journey by also producing a map of the Solar System. Astronauts have ventured out on successful travels to the moon and back, and plans are in the works for a trip to Mars. But there are obstacles more severe than world pioneers ever faced.

Living Forever In Robotic Bodies
That age-old quest for the fountain of youth has evolved in recent years to thoughts of transferring our minds from aging worn-out bodies into manufactured androids that look and feel like real people. Researchers in the field of robotics have been achieving amazing success at creating machines that can replace humans doing mundane tasks on manufacturing lines, doing household chores and even performing as sexual partners. They have manufactured android-type robots that talk, have bodies that look and feel like real skin, and even perform certain facial expressions. But they are not human. At the same time this has been going on, computer nerds have been busy creating machines that work like the human brain. One Australian inventor is dreaming of creating a machine that will accept the human mind and soul after it is ready to leave the body.

Ancients Believed Lambs Grew On Trees
It is perhaps understandable why people in the ancient past once thought the Earth was the center of the solar system or that the Moon was made of green cheese. But believing that baby sheep grew on trees appears to have been really stretching it. Yet a lot of people, including noted scientists, actually believed that lambs grew on a special plant. And they held unto this belief almost as late as the time Columbus sailed for the Americas.

The Hawking List Of Future Dangers
Jake Anderson of theAntiMedia.org recently published an interesting story listing Stephen Hawking's personal concerns about potential "catastrophic dangers humanity faces in the Twenty-First Century." We not only read the story with great interest, we opened a number of links to other published articles addressing Hawking's concerns. Since Anderson has given permission to have his story republished we are doing so, highlighting the Hawking list. Planned are follow-up reports describing the Hawking concerns in detail and looking into the reasons he is worried.
1.) Our Quest For Alien Contact
2.) The Robot Army
3.) Will The "God Particle" Wipe Us All Out?
4.) Rampant Inequality

Is NASA Out To Create A Second Sun?
Back in the era of atomic and hydrogen bomb experimentation some researchers expressed a fear that detonation of a fission bomb would start an unending chain reaction that would destroy the world. The matter was carefully studied and the conclusion was reached that it probably would not happen. To test the theory they exploded the bomb anyway and thankfully learned that they were right. Now there is concern that when NASA flies the 15-year-old Cassini satellite into its suicide dive into the gas giant Saturn the plutonium explosion might create a second sun.

Are We Experiencing A Compression Of Time?
Remember when we were kids and it seemed like we could do so much in a single day? Has it seemed as if time has speed up as we aged? Indeed, we notice that during the last year we hardly got our teeth brushed before it was time for lunch. We no sooner begin working on a new project and it is time to shower and prepare to watch the evening news. I used to wonder if the cells in my brain were slowing down, giving me the illusion that time was speeding up, or if it really has been a shift in the speed of time? Now it appears that science has found evidence that time really is speeding up.

Entering The New Age Of The Android
We have seen them in movies, but the development of robots that are so humanoid in their appearance and actions that they can be mistaken for humans seems somewhat far-fetched. But never underestimate the bright and creative minds of people in the Far East. Researchers in South Korea, Japan and China have made public the development of their first versions of these special robotic machines, or androids. They look almost human, can do simple tasks and even answer the telephone. How will they affect our future?

Would You Believe Six Billion Trillion Miles Of Nothing?
Astronomers recently disclosed that they discovered a black "hole" in the universe that is so big it is almost as if when you get there, you have reached the edge of everything. They say this cosmic black spot contains no stray stars, no galaxies, no mysterious dark matter. There is just nothing there at all. "It is one billion light years across of nothing. That's an expanse of nearly six billion trillion miles of emptiness," one group of astronomers at University of Minnesota said in their attempt to describe what isn't there.

The Time Travel Paradox
Because of the many archaeological anomalies we have written about on this site there has evolved a sense that either the human race has existed on this planet and risen to great levels of achievement in the ancient past, or time travel may be occurring. Could it be that a band of travelers has been moving backward and perhaps even forward through time. And we have done it not once, but numerous times? And rather than traveling through time for scientific research or military, monetary or political manipulation as one might suppose, could we have done it to escape our own self-destruction?

Tunneling Into Time Warps
Because of what happened to the USS Eldridge during experiments in invisibility at Montauk, New York, in 1943, the researchers realized they had inadvertently sent the ship and the 33 volunteers on its decks 40 years into the future before bringing them back again. Of course military researchers could not let that information go to waste.

Secret Government Experiments At Montauk
We have all heard of or watched documentary videos about the horrific attempts to make a navy ship go invisible during the dark days of World War II. A bunch of brilliant scientists, including Albert Einstein, Nicola Tesla, Dr. John Von Neumann, and some say even Alistair Crowley succeeded in making the destroyer escort USS Eldridge disappear and then return. The vessel returned a few minutes later with disastrous results. All of the officers on the ship were insane, some were dead. Some bodies were found molded into the ship’s metal parts. As the story is told, the Navy abandoned the project after this. A report by Valdamar Valerian, a noted civil engineer and psychologist and former member of the Aerial Phenomenon Research Organization, suggests that the Philadelphia Experiment was only the beginning of a whole package of black budget government projects that continued on for at least the next 50 years. They may still be going on.

Could Alien Intelligence Be Found Under A Microscope?
I once found an odd story about the discovery of a tiny quarter-inch long UFO "intercepted" over Washington D.C. I considered the story a hoax. And yet the concept of minute intelligent life forms is an interesting one. Just because our awareness of intelligent life forms on Earth indicate that we have evolved to a certain size, should not dismiss the possibility that intelligence exists in numerous other forms, including tiny beings that fly around in undetected ships that look like insects. Extreme Weather May Be The New Normal
During my years working as a bureau reporter in Michigan, we experienced a severe storm that dumped 24 inches of rain on our area in about a week. It was a disaster for the rural farming area. Fields of crops were under water. Roads were flooded, bridges were washed out, streams overflowed their banks and basements were flooded. They said that was what the weather people call a “100-year” flood, and was so rare we probably would not experience anything like it again in our lifetime. But lo, storms like that and worse are so common now that very few people are escaping them. Click For Story

Has Our Military Already Been To Mars?
A strange "whistleblower" story has appeared in a website titled Exopolitics Activism quoting from a newsletter that states the U.S. Marines have not only been to Mars, but they operate a secret space fleet that apparently roams around our solar system. The story says a Marine identified as Randy Cramer (aka Captain Kaye USMC) has spent 17 years on Mars and three years serving on the space fleet. Can we believe it or is it science fiction? This paradox, like many in existence, is attributed to an ancient Greek philosopher named Zeno, who used it to argue that the universe is singular and that motion is impossible. More . . .
The Power Of The Mind
The amazing discovery of what world physicists at the Large Hadron Collider project in Switzerland are calling the "god particle," or Higgs Bosom, may soon topple the archaic human images of the Creator of everything. Instead of a mighty grandfather figure looking down at us from behind the clouds, the "God" humans have been worshipping for thousands of years is turning out to be a particle so tiny that it took the construction of a 17-mile long multi-billion dollar machine to find it.
Click For Story

Norway Study: LSD May Be Good For You
Back when the late Timothy Leary was promoting the controlled use of LSD for the treatment of certain mental health issues, alcoholism and prison recidivism, we were also hearing horror stories from government agencies that the psychotic effects were so dangerous the drug had to be prohibited. Norway researchers now find that Leary may have been right all along. Click For Story

Exception To The Rule Paradox
We have all heard the old cliché: "There is an exception to the rule." Ah, but therein lies a paradox designed to befuddle the mind. Consider that if every rule has at least one exception, then there must be a rule that every rule must have at least one exception. But if we attempt to establish a rule without any exceptions, the above paradox still stands. This is because such a rule, in of itself, becomes an accepted exception to the rule. Dare To Read On

Do We Have The Potential To Be Gods?
There is a twisted irony in the fact that at about the time researchers are discovering that humans may have the potential of living very long lives . . . and possibly forever . . . we also appear to be on the brink of destroying our planet. Click For Story

Tracking The Human "God Gene"
Dean Hamer’s book,"The God Gene; How Faith is Hardwired Into Our Genes," created a stir among theologians. He argues that humans are genetically programmed to worship God. Hamer suggests that faith is reduced to chemical reactions in the brain. And this angers Christians who want us to believe that faith is a personal decision in life that marks a new path from judgment into that of eternal reward. Of course we must weigh in on this. Resolving the Sorites Paradox
The word sorites comes from the Greek word soros, which means "heap." Thus we find our paradox. How man grains of wheat does it take to form a heap? A similar paradox can be found in determining how many hairs must be missing before a man can be described as bald. Or looking at this puzzle in reverse, we ask if the man has a single hair on his head is he bald? Click For More

A Future World With Androids?
Japanese researchers appear to be making great strides in the field of robotics. They have managed to make machines that look, speak and act so much like real humans they are unnerving to anyone that comes in contact. The Japanese corporations are plunging ahead with their work, designing androids that produce the sounds and even the feeling of living flesh, and the ability to do much of the mundane work of humans. The idea is that someday the androids will be assembling the cars we drive, our electronic toys, and even new androids. Click For Story

Yellowstone – Super Volcano In The Heartland
Of all the national parks in the United States, Yellowstone is probably the most popular. And if geologists and other scientists are right, it may be among the most dangerous. That is because it rests about 125 feet directly over a hot bubbling cauldron of lava linked to what is believed to be one of the largest volcanoes in the world. Learn more: Click For Story
